We turned back at a bridge over the burn but walkers can continue up the glen and on across rugged Scottish country for miles, staying at bothies overnight.

Back down the glen the mature and non-commercial arboretum is abundant with mighty trees each having over one century of growth within their trunks and roots.
Even the long since fallen ones, resting in peace, were covered in soft mosses and scaly lichens and provided homes to over two thousand different species of fungi and bacteria
Beautiful orchids and ducklings enjoyed the bountiful sunshine, as did we four.
Especially when a nice cold cider awaited us at the Inn!
